Our client requires an FP&A analyst to join their team on an initial interim basis for an initial 4-6 months. The role will report into the Head of Commercial Finance

Duties

  • Support FP&A Manager, Head of Commercial Finance and the business in all aspects of the annual budget, forecast and long term planning processes, including consolidation and analysis of regional plans and developing P&L, balance sheet and cash forecasts where required
  • Interpret financial information and analysis, supporting effective management decisions using benchmarking, trends and other planning and forecasting methods; develop and implement improvements to the planning processes
  • Support the FP&A Manager to produce ad hoc and routine analysis to a high standard, including recommendations and understanding of business objectivesIdentify opportunities for analysis, delivering to the Head of Commercial Finance and FP&A Manager when requested, to support decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practice ways of working across the FP&A team and finance function

The successful candidate will:

  • Preferably be qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills reflecting an ability to manipulate and interpret data, to provide meaningful and useful analysis for decision making purposes;
  • Ability to use initiative, anticipate issues and develop common sense, practical solutions to deliver high quality output to tight deadlines;
  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities against conflicting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and advanced modelling skills with the ability to create and maintain complex financial models;
  • Experience of forecasting, reporting and consolidations in a complex multinational, multi-currency business preferable;
  • Experience of cash management and reporting is desirable;
  • A strong working knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse is preferable;
