Group Financial Accountant




A global marketing company operating within the health care industry based in Central London requires a Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical skills and a proven track record of delivering results whilst working to tight deadlines.


Roles Responsibilities –

  • All aspects of Group, UK and US financial accounting, and related records
  • Group consolidation, UK Statutory Accounts, other statutory filings
  • US/UK Tax Returns – Data submission and query response (US multiple state and federal filings; UK corp tax filing)
  • Reviewing Non US/UK entity submissions as part of group consolidation
  • Managing Group, UK and US Annual Audits
  • Group Cash Management, including administration of majority of group bank accounts
  • Maintaining Group Insurance Policies
  • UK and US Payroll (Review and Management of Team)
  • Group Sales Commission, Variable Pay, Other Bonus Scheme Calculations
  • Group Headcount File, Monthly Payroll Reporting
  • Monthly Board Reporting
  • Maintaining Strong Control Environment, through Balance Reconciliations and Review
  • Shareholder reporting
  • Managing a team of 2 to 4 people
  • Implementation of new systems
  • Review and Updating of current processes, including excel based reporting

Candidate Requirements –

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Strong Experience of Accounting Systems
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements, including IFRS 15
  • Numerical and data processing skills
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, independence, initiative and a sense of productive empathy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Strong knowledge of management information systems (Excel to intermediate or advanced level)
  • Internal Client-facing (Senior Management, Shareholders) experience working in a professional environment
  • Dedication to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Outstanding organisational skills, conscientiousness and pro activeness
  • Self-starter
