A telecommunications company based in Central London requires a Senior Finance Analyst to join their Finance team. Based in the European headquarters, the successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, demanding yet rewarding environment within an organisation admired by its peers and competition within in the industry.
Duties
Role Responsibilities –
- Budgeting and forecasting, working closely with the sales and delivery departments
- Continually drive the commercial performance and decision making in order to maximise revenue and profitability alongside sales, contract management and billing teams
- Understand significant terms and conditions of contracts and ensure financial implications are appropriately tracked
- Analysis of regional financial performance
- Provide tailored commentary to stakeholders and be the main finance liaison in business reviews with account teams
- Review monthly billing, working with the billing manager to track any areas of change on a month by month basis taking appropriate action when needed
- Preparation of monthly journals
- Preparation of business review working files and presentation
- Ownership and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations and review
- Managing the month end process ensuring accurate P&L results
- Other ad hoc analysis and decision support as and when required
Candidate Requirements –
- CA/ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- 5 years of relevant commercial experience in a commercial position
- Relevant telecommunications industry experience would be preferred however it is not essential
- A proven track record of making key business decisions with a successful impact
- Natural commercial acumen
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience in meeting deadlines for key business stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
