Description

Halliday Marx have partnered with an outstanding sustainability business with a strong European presence. They need a Accountant who is proficient with Italian/German & Dutch GAAP on a temp-perm basis.

Hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 from home)

£275 – £300 per day umbrella as a temp. Once perm, £60k-£65k

Temp period is likely 1-2 months

Duties

• Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts under Dutch, Italian, German, and Japanese GAAP.
• Support consolidation and group reporting in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and local advisors to ensure timely and compliant filings.
• Assist in tax reporting, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Implement and maintain accounting controls and best practices across international entities.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives in the finance function.
• Collaborate with sustainability project teams to align financial reporting with ESG performance metrics.

Requirements

• Experience with Dutch, Italian, German GAAP (Essential)
• Available to start within 2 weeks (Essential)
• Japanese GAAP (Nice to have)
• Proficiency in a European language (Nice to have)
