Halliday Marx have partnered with a rapidly growing publishing firm to hire a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role reports into the Managing Director with a dotted-line report into the CEO.

Hybrid working (Minimum of 2 days in the office per week)

Duties

• Production & presentation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet, profit & loss, cashflow forecast and budget comparisons
• Crucial detailed cashflow forecasting and management
• Implementing and updating sales reporting on a weekly basis, working with commissioning, marketing and sales teams to highlight areas of interest, concern, or opportunity.
• Leading on annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting exercises along with the management team and Board of Directors
• Responsible for invoice processing on Xero
• Weekly pay runs and monthly payroll processing
• Quarterly VAT returns for UK & IOSS (Netherlands) for European sales
• Management of company bank accounts
• Preparation and distribution of royalty statements to authors and international partners
• Management of third-party rights and royalties
• Management of centralised finance inbox for communication with authors and suppliers
• Provide management information and ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Experience either in a publishing or media business with hands on SME Finance management
• Experience of royalty or commission-based compensation schemes
