My client is a management consultancy based in London and are looking for an Interim Finance Controller for 4-5 months.

Interim Group Financial Controller

£525-625 per day

4-5 months

Central London (Hybrid Working)

Duties

  • Responsible for the management of the accounting team (5 individuals)
  • Work with 3rd party accounting firms where a local team is not present to close the books and to complete statutory requirements, includes HK, India, and Germany.
  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process along with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Partner with the US Corporate Controller/FP&A team to perform financial analysis to explain variances in financial performance compared to budget and forecast targets and prior year results.
  • Oversee and coordinate annual audits and tax compliance for UK entity; oversee and work with 3rd party accounting firms for Hong Kong, Germany, India to complete audits and tax compliance.
  • Work with local and global teams on new billing system implementation.
  • Develop and implement effective systems, accounting policies and financial controls which maintain the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting of the Company.
  • Ability to improve manual processes where possible to be more accurate and efficient.
  • Ensure timely development and delivery of cash projections for performance and planning purposes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience managing the monthly close and financial reporting process, working with finance operations (AR/AP), cash management, budgeting, tax, and leading a team
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Audit experience within a public accounting firm plus career progression of accounting positions within a company with increasing leadership responsibilities is strongly desired
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Strong attention to details, excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills; always evaluating to make processes better
  • Able to get into details, book entries, be a “hands-on” leader.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • A highly collaborative and customer service-oriented spirit; able to build strong relationships across the team and all functions including HR, Legal and business teams.
