Halliday Marx are exclusively searching for an Interim Financial Controller on a 15-Month Fixed Term Contract to start in October, for a global leader in their field.

This role leads the UK and Ireland core finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and effective planning while partnering with operational leaders to support commercial decision-making.
Reporting to the CFO, the role leads and develops the Finance team and works closely with operational leaders and other business functions.
Duties
- Management of the finance team of 9
- Lead the month-end close and production of monthly group financial reporting
- Oversee the accurate upload of month end into the global financial reporting system
- Review of monthly financial movement schedules.
- Ensure integrity of balance sheet
- Review of sales, transaction, revenue and cost centre reports.
- Lead and support the preparation of entity-level budgets and rolling forecasts for the group, including full profit and loss statements and capital expenditure.
- Overseeing the annual accounting packs (under IFRS) and completion of the quarterly tax packs.
- Overseeing and assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
- Manage interim and year-end audit processes
- Overseeing corporation tax computations
- Overseeing completion of VAT returns
- Monitoring and review of client accruals and profitability.
- Monitoring of external client P&L statements and internal client profitability analysis.
- Monitor and ensure timely billing of external client P&L statements and ad hoc services.
- Control and review of overhead expenditure invoices.
- Monitoring of Capex
You will have / be:
- A Qualified Accountant: ACCA , ACA, CIMA or equivalent
- Lots of IFRS / UK statutory reporting understanding
- Excellent spreadsheet skills
- SAP would be an advantage
- Ability to prioritise competing demands
- Proven ability to develop, motivate and mentor finance team staff.
- Experience of working with operational divisions
- Confidence to challenge existing practices constructively, identify opportunities for improvement and lead changes that strengthen finance processes.
- Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make decisions in the best interests of the company.
