Halliday Marx have partnered with a leading publishing business is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the finance team on an initial three-month interim basis. The role could go longer as they tend to get quite busy when this contract would end. 

Interim Credit Controller

Fully Remote

£180–£200 per day via Umbrella

Duties

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and take ownership of the full credit control process
• Proactively chase outstanding invoices by phone and email
• Monitor aged debt and work to reduce overdue balances
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries
• Liaise with internal teams, including Sales and Finance, to resolve account issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
• Escalate aged or high-risk debt where appropriate
• Assist with regular aged debt reporting and cash collection targets
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounts receivable duties

Requirements

• 3 years experience in a Credit Control
• Immediately available
• Outstanding communication skills
• Publishing, media or subscription-sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
