Duties
Revenue transactions using Excel
Transaction checking using Sage for various ledgers
Reconcile supplier statements
Investigate sales variances
Prepare weekly payment runs
Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
Prepare the weekly P&L with commentary
Prepare the monthly payroll in readiness for review with RS
Ad hoc financial duties
Process accounts receivable / payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Ensure all periodic reporting is up to date
Looking to improve departmental processes and systems
Ensure correct reporting is delivered in a timely manner
Develop the accounts assistant
You will be:
Fully able to produce a set of management accounts (Profit and Loss and balance sheet)
Strong on small company IT finance systems, i.e. Xero or Sage
A good communicator, able to talk to the company directors as well as non-finance staff with little grasp of financial terminology
