This Clapham based hospitality company has an unrivalled reputation of top-quality good times in its venues. As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with the co founders as well gaining huge commercial exposure!

Being mentored by the FD, this role will help shape the future of this small finance team, modernising the processes for maximum efficiency and bringing in Xero next year. So any exposure to process improvements and systems integration will be useful.

Management Accountant

£48,000 – £55,000 plus study

Location: Clapham, London

Hybrid: 4 days in, 1 at home

Duties

• Monthly Management Accounts: Full P&L and Balance Sheet
• Revenue transactions using Excel
• Transaction checking using Sage for various ledgers
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Investigate sales variances
• Prepare weekly payment runs
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
• Prepare the weekly P&L with commentary
• Prepare the monthly payroll in readiness for review with RS
• Ad hoc financial duties
• Process accounts receivable / payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
• Ensure all periodic reporting is up to date
• Looking to improve departmental processes and systems
• Ensure correct reporting is delivered in a timely manner
• Develop the accounts assistant

You will be:

• Fully able to produce a set of management accounts (Profit and Loss and balance sheet)
• Strong on small company IT finance systems, i.e. Xero or Sage
• A good communicator, able to talk to the company directors as well as non-finance staff with little grasp of financial terminology
• A person who loves a project along side Business as usual work.
• A legend – someone with gravitas, who’s good in the bar and great at work
