Halliday Marx have partnered with an multi national real Estate business, seeking a Senior Corporate/ Management Accountant on a Permanent basis.

Senior Corporate Accountant

£65k – £68k +Bonus

Central London (Hybrid)

Duties

Reporting into the FC you will be responsible for managing the processing of day to day Accounting transactions. Key duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Prepare the monthly consolidation pack with commentary across Europe.
  • Prepare the monthly departmental OPEX P&Ls and liaise with business heads.
  • Business partnering and analysis to aid the business with decision making.
  • Assist with the preparation of reforecasts and annual budgets.
  • Management of Finance Analyst including succession planning.
  • Review the monthly bank reconciliations and follow up of outstanding items and preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review Cashflow forecasting for corporate entities and maintain and ensure accurate record keeping across European corporate entities.
  • Reconcile and take ownership of the intercompany balances and assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Prepare and review monthly expense accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly and year end reporting. Work with the shared services team to implement the PO System.

The Successful Candidate;

  • Qualified Accountant or in the final stages of ACCA/CIMA
  • Proven history of implementing financial processes and control improvements.
  • Accounting foundation background with a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and double entry book-keeping
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (Vlookup, SumIf, Pivot tables) and Word.
  • Understanding of VAT and Company Structures
