Halliday Marx is a recruitment business which provides work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers. We must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) so that we can provide these services – in doing so, Halliday Marx acts as a data controller.

You may give your personal details to Halliday Marx directly, such as on an application or registration form or via our website, or we may collect them from another source such as a jobs board. For the purposes of providing you with work-finding services and/or information relating to roles relevant to you, we will only use your personal data for the following purposes:

For matching your submitted details with job vacancies, to assist us in finding you the position that most suits you.
For keeping you informed of Company services, marketing updates, news and wider developments in your chosen field.
For arranging payments to you whilst you are contracting through Halliday Marx.
For compiling salary and other surveys of our candidates.

All marketing updates that we send to you are because you have consented to receive these updates or because there is a legitimate interest in you receiving them. We will cease to send any marketing updates to you immediately after you opt out.

In some cases, we may be required to use your data for the purpose of investigating, reporting and detecting crime and also to comply with laws that apply to us. We may also use your information during the course of internal audits to demonstrate our compliance with certain industry standards.

It is possible that in the future, Halliday Marx could merge or be acquired by another business. If this happens, we may have to share the information that relates to you with the new owners of the business and their advisers. You will be sent notice of such an event. Other than in these circumstances, we do not and will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent.
